about me.

Citlali Sanchez is a Mexican-American film and sound editor and stop-motion fabricator from Chicago, Illinois with an eagerness to grow as an artist and learn more about all facets of media. She recently graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Film and Television and a minor in Sound Editing.

As an editor, Citlali looks to construct emotions out of any footage through attention to detail in order to create an impact on a variety of audiences. By applying a subtle approach to editing, she allows the viewer to fill in the blanks of the story to fully immerse them in the film. As a stop-motion fabricator, Citlali aims to delve into issues of human psychology and physicality, and the humor that underlies our somber reality.

During her artist journey, Citlali has developed a passion for mixed-media art, stop motion, virtual reality, short-form content, experimental filmmaking, documentaries, and sound design. Drawing inspiration from her cultural background, she focuses on using colors and depth to cultivate stimulating visuals that fall in line with her humanistic approach. With communication, problem-solving, and patience, she looks to create content that not only stays true to her work, but to those around her as well.
